Nrgy Unit Drink is based on the Nduranz Carbohydrate Ratio, a 1:0.8 ratio between glucose (maltodextrin) and fructose.
It is scientifically proven to be the optimal ratio, which allows the highest absorption of 90 grams of carbohydrates per hour without burdening your digestive system and causing digestive issues.

Nrgy Unit Drink 90 is a sports drink adapted for higher energy intake. Although it offers the same amount of CHO per scoop (22.5 g) as Nrgy Unit Drink, the amount of electrolytes and the strength of the taste are adapted to the higher amount in a single bottle.
This way, Nrgy Unit Drink 90 ensures that you get just the right amount of electrolytes in one serving (4 scoops) and a suitably strong taste.
If you were to mix 2 portions of Nrgy Unit Drink (4 scoops) in a bidon, you would have double the amount of electrolytes in one bottle and a drink with an extremely strong taste. The former, in particular, opens up the possibility of digestive problems.
Nrgy Unit Drink 90 also allows you to intake more CHO with less fluid, as you can intake 90 grams with just 500 ml of water. Nrgy Unit Drink requires 1000 ml of water for an intake of 90 grams.
Mix 1 serving (1 sachet) with 500 ml of water (in hot conditions 750 ml).

I used the NRGY45 drink mix alongside the gels throughout The Rift in Iceland, and it was absolutely spot on. It mixed easily, tasted great even after hours in the bottle, and was gentle on my stomach despite the long, tough day.
Keeping on top of my nutrition was one of my biggest priorities for the event, and NRGY45 made that easy. Paired with the gels, it gave me a steady supply of energy without any crashes, helping me keep moving across some seriously demanding terrain.

Usually I will buy the bulk bags for use at home but these are more convenient when travelling on multi day trips. Easy to carry a spare on the ride for topping up a fresh bottle.
